Design and Display

Acer have adopted Previously plastic construction for previous Models of the Acer Chromebook to keep costs down ,but has now wrapped its latest Chromebook 14 in a slim and  solid aluminum chassis giving it a more premium looking build and feel. With a thickness of 17mm and a weight of 1,55kg, the Acer chromebook 14 is understandably little more bulky than the Toshiba Satellite 12, but should not be too cumbersome to be you daily companion.

The Acer Chromebook 14 is available in two variants –a high end model featuring a a 14 inch full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS display, 4GB RAM and 32GB storage and a low end model with a 14 inch 1366×768 HD at 1366 x 768 with a claim of up 170-degree viewing angles, anti-glare coating and comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. The Acer Chromebook is powered by an Intel Celeron quad-core for the high-end model or dual-core N3060 processor for the low end model.

Another highlight of the Acer Chromebook 14 is the claim of up to 14-hour battery life on a single charge for the HD model and 12 hours battery life for the FHD model. Other features include a dual-band 2×2 MIMO 802.11ac Wi-Fi module with Bluetooth 4.2, a 720p webcam, a 3.5-mm mini jack, a microphone, stereo speakers, two USB 3.0 ports as well as an HDMI output.
